We intend to use the ETHOS to grind an assortment of pest species to a fine past.  Using an extended choke tube, we will walk and ride sagebrush, pasture and alfalfa fields and swat helpless gophers and prairie dogs. We fired 250 rounds of 2 3/4" 1 1/8 oz. #7 1/2 heavy field loads in one hour 40 minutes, at which point we were out of shells.  We experienced no malfunctions, though we had a thumb blistered by a very hot barrel. Summary:  Performance was exemplary.  The ETHOS is an ideal high volume field gun because it's lightweight and balanced between the hands.  It's easy to mount rapidly without shoulder fatigue (we were getting up to 6-8 shots per minute), recoil was negligible, and muzzle rise was minimal. This gun is a killing machine and it runs like a watch.  I only wish we had brought more ammo.  We safely killed a hundred gophers an hour. Sadly, much dust but scratches or dings.
